Planorama chooses Microsoft Azure to power its cloud

At Planorama, we are committed to helping CPGs digitalize their retail execution process. This comes together with building feature-rich mobile and desktop applications for dozens of thousands of business users everywhere in the world.

Innovation and Scalability 

When we started this journey towards innovation and scalability, we made some important decisions with regards to application architecture: microservices would be the way to go. And if you are somehow familiar with this concept, you know that microservices would be nothing without a powerful cloud platform. This is the reason why we are so excited to announce today that Planorama has selected Microsoft Azure to power its applications. 

Last month, during the POI Chicago Spring summit, our CEO, Ayoub Khammari, commented on this decision: “With Microsoft Azure, each microservice has its own data source and possesses its own individual storage. Microsoft Azure is the assurance that we can scale everywhere and deploy every individual component when needed.”

But what does that mean for our customer base? Now our clients can benefit from combining Planorama’s actionable retail insights AI-powered platform with Azure’s global scale to:

  • Automate and simplify their retail execution and category planning processes thanks to image recognition
  • Give their central and field teams all over the world a secure access to real-time shelf data and insights
  • Bring Planorama’s shelf data to their partner’s and custom applications (SFA, BI, ERP, etc.)

This integration with Azure is a new step towards delivering a great user experience for our customers.
